The plug-in requires Eclipse 3.4 and JRE 1.6. If you do not have Eclipse already, you can get it from here:
http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/
You may use "Eclipse Classic" distribution.
You may also need to get the latest Java runtime (1.6 or newer), which can be obtained from:
Please note that Java is used only during the development cycle. DTX toolbars
do not require Java or any other runtime framework.
To get the DTX plugin, you must add a new site to your Eclipse's Updates and Add-ons. Once in Eclipse, please go to Help > Software Updates... > Available Software. There you can add a new site by pressing the "Add Site..." button. You may enter the following URL as the location:
http://dev.dynamictoolbar.com/sdk/update

Press OK. You should get prompted for user name and password. Use the credentials you have obtained for the SDK here. If you do not have an account for the SDK, you can apply for one here:
http://dev.dynamictoolbar.com/
This is the dialog you will see prompting for credentials:

Once you have provided valid credentials, the Add-ons dialog will list a new site. Under the new site, you should see the DTX plugin listed. Select the checkbox for "DTX toolbar development" as shown in the following screenshot:

Then click on "Install" and proceed with the plugin installation.
Updating the plugin
The steps described here will allow you to get automatic updates later for the plugin. You can come back at any time to the Software Updates and Add-ons interface, select "DTX toolbar development" in the list and then press "Update":
